Prague, 16 October 2024 – Build Europe, the association representing developers and homebuilders in the EU, held its prestigious Build Europe Awards 2024 at the Nová Spirála in Prague, hosted by the Czech real estate federation, WeDevelop. Sponsored by SOCOTEC, the event brought together top industry leaders to recognise projects that are an extraordinary example of how the European housing sector, through innovation, can bring on the market sustainable buildings with exceptional energetic and environmental performance.
Taking place the day before the Build Europe Congress, where representatives of the main EU real estate federations met to discuss the state of the housing sector across Europe, the awards ceremony highlighted the creativity and commitment of developers pushing the boundaries to ensure the decarbonisation of the European housing stock, while safeguarding aesthetic qualities and comfort.
Presented by Andreas Ibel, President of Build Europe, Tomáš Kadeřábek, Director of WeDevelop, Olga Solovei, President of the Ukrainian Real Estate Federation, Marc Pigeon, honourary President of Build Europe and founder of the Awards in 2022, the event underscored the construction sector’s resilience, especially in supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction. Presenters expressed their hope that the nominated projects could show that, thanks to the work of European developers, housing affordability, innovation, and environmental sustainability can go hand in hand.
The highlight of the night was the Grand Prix, awarded to NOHO Investment for their transformative project, Młyny Mogilska in Poland. Other winners included:
- Pioneer Prize: JRD for Císařská vinice (Imperial Vineyard) in Czechia – a perfect blend of modern innovation and historic beauty;
