UEPC attended an event on ‘A Europe closer to citizens? The urban and territorial dimension of cohesion policy post-2020’, following the invitation by the European Parliament’s urban intergroup.

The main objective of the event is to better understand and reflect on the regulatory framework for an integrated, place-based development in the new cohesion policy proposals, with a specific attention to the urban dimension.

The European Commission will introduce the relevant parts of the common provisions regulation (CPR) and the ERDF/Cohesion Fund regulation and the European Social Fund Plus regulation, followed by reflections from EUROCITIES and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR). The event will also allow the rapporteurs of the legislative files to reflect on the issues.
